Espoonlahti nature reserve

I went to Espoonlahti nature reserve in Espoo. I had been there as a child, and it was nice to go there again. Spring flowers were blooming, even though especially wood anemones were a bit depressed by the rainy weather.

Wood anemone (Anemone nemorosa) and yellow star-of-Bethlehem (Gagea lutea).

Trees and shrubs

Red elderberry (Sambucus racemosa).

A hollow tree. I went inside.

A magnificent alder (Alnus glutinosa) had cypress-leaved plaitmoss (Hypnum cupressiforme) on its trunk that looked and felt like an animal's fur.

Birds and rocks

Chaffinch (Fringilla coelebs) and blackbird (Turdus merula).

Beautiful rocks with moss patterns.
