Aibohphobia
I bumped into the word aibohphobia, which is a jocular word meaning the fear of palindromes. The word is itself one. It has been around at least since the 80’s, because it can be found in The Devil’s DP Dictionary (1981) by Stan Kelly-Bootle. The 1995 edition of the book was retitled as The Computer Contradictionary.
I also happened to bump into the word redivider, which is also a palindrome and can mean a sequence of letters that can be segmented into two different sentences depending on where the spaces are. An example of this are these sentences: “In every ode linger many” and “I never yodel in Germany”.
Suomeksi tuo sana olisi aibofobia, joka toimii aivan yhtä hyvin.
